Today, workers on the Arena team at Wizards of the Coast invoked their right to organize and form the United Wizards of the Coast union. We, the United Paizo Workers, stand strong with our Wizard allies! We welcome them with open arms to the broader fold of the Communication Workers of America (CWA).
The Arena team is the video game division for Magic: the Gathering, responsible for bringing the renowned trading card game to the digital realm and connecting players all over the world in their enjoyment of Magic. The challenges facing the video game and tabletop industries are many. In solidarity with each other, we can face these challenges. Please join us in congratulating the United Wizards of the Coast and lending your encouragement and support for their unionization efforts!
We urge the leaders at Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro to do the right thing: recognize the Arena team’s union, sit down at the table, and bargain in good faith.
